In terms of being connected to the Harry Potter story, players of Hogwarts Legacy will experience the same adventures in all the same places, like Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forrest, and such. However, some characters that defy the passing of time are there, like the ghostly residents and the paintings.Īlready Peeves and nearly Headless Nick are set to be there, and the portrait of The Fat Lady will also play its usual role of Gryffindor Dormitory keeper. Professors won’t be the same for none were around 100 years ago as none are immortal. The Fat Lady, Nearly Headless Nick, and Peeves the player, will go through the same life a typical Hogwarts Student goes through, with the same four houses, the same classes to attend, same magic schools to learn from, etc. With that said, the Hogwarts Legacy story is set in the 1800s, some 100 years before the events of the Harry Potter books and movies, meaning there won’t be that many connections. Hogwarts Legacy game is in the Harry Potter Universe, meaning it supports the events of the HP and Fantastic Beasts books and movies.
